GLOBAL ETHICAL DIALOGUES PROJECT: SOUTH AFRICA, DECEMBER 2015 Sandy Africa and Gerhard Wolmarans of the University of Pretoria hosted Michael Ignatieff and Devin Stewart for a series of 30 discussions in Pretoria, Johannesburg, Port Elizabeth, and Durban, South Africa.
NEW APPOINTMENTS
Amrita Gupta appointed Journalism Fellow, Policy Innovations (Carnegie Council's digital magazine), November 2015. Elena Shanbaum appointed Carnegie Council Education Fellow, December 2015.
Jean-Marc Coicaud elected to Academia Europaea, October 2015. Jiyoung Song is taking up a new position from January 2016 as Director of Migration and Border Policy at Lowy Institute for International Policy in Sydney, funded by the Australian Government Department of Immigration and Border Protection.
FORTHCOMING BOOK
Global Ethics Fellow Reed Bonadonna recently signed a book contract with U.S. Naval Institute Press for a book, the working title of which is Soldiers and Civilization. It should be out in the summer-fall of 2016.
PAPERS COMING SOON
Global Ethics Fellows' papers from the October 2015 Global Ethics Conference in New York. The papers will be part of a new Carnegie Council program focused on Asia.
